Teach students to focus on accessing information through comprehensive lessons and gain an understanding of where and how to access information. Includes real-world examples and visual aids such as:
- Charts and maps
- Reference materials
- Consumer Information
Workforce Readiness
Lessons include activities critical to the process of selecting, obtaining, and maintaining employment. Each lesson presents comprehensive information and interactive exercises for students with limited reading ability. Audio is included. Graphics and illustrations enhance retention of lesson content.



Topics Include:
- Career Decision Making - Teaches students to make good career decisions by relating job requirements to their personal characteristics and priorities. Lessons include self-assessment, information about jobs and career decisions.
- Job Seeking Skills - Teaches students how to conduct a job search, complete job applications, write resumes and job search letters, perform appropriately in job interviews, and follow-up. User-friendly exercises prompt students through step-by-step processes that result in neatly typed and formatted personal data sheets, resumes, and letters.
- Work Maturity Skills - Teaches students how to perform in a manner that will help them be successful at work. Students learn how to meet employers' expectations; get along with supervisors, co-workers, and customers; increase their value to their employers; and manage personal finances.
- Worker Effectiveness Skills - Teaches students how to behave responsibly and builds self-esteem, character development, teamwork, problem-solving and leadership skills. Lessons focus on helping students make a smooth transition to productive employment.
